Chennai Super Kings batsman Suresh Raina congratulated skipper MS Dhoni on surpassing him to become the highest capped player in the history of the Indian Premier League on Friday. Besides the Chennai Super Kings, Dhoni has also played for Rising Pune Supergiant, Rising Pune Supergiants in the seasons when CSK were banned from the IPL.
Raina, who pulled out of IPL 2020 due to personal reasons, took to Twitter to congratulate his friend and captain, saying he was sure that Chennai Super Kings will win this season. CSK vice-captain Suresh Raina had flown to the UAE along with the team in August, but returned home a week later citing ‘personal reasons’.

Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma is ranked third in the list with 192 appearances, Kolkata Knight Riders captain Dinesh Karthik (185 appearances) and Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli (180 appearances) closely follow at fourth and fifth spot respectively.
Meanwhile, MS Dhoni has amassed 4476 runs in his IPL career and is 24 runs away from completing 4500 IPL runs. Chennai Super Kings is playing against David Warner’s Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Dubai International stadium.
