CM Ashok Gehlot calls for meeting to discuss coronavirus in Rajasthan


So far, 467 samples have been collected in Rajasthan for testing for the novel coronavirus, out of this, reports for 445 came out negative.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot called for an all-party meeting to discuss the situation related to the novel coronavirus in the state.

The meeting has been scheduled for at around 4 pm on Tuesday.

Apart from that, Ashok Gehlot has also called a meeting of religious leaders at around 5 pm on Tuesday.

So far, 467 samples have been collected in Rajasthan for testing for the novel coronavirus. Out of this, reports for 445 came out negative.

Four people tested positive out of which three were cured. Eighteen samples are still under the process of testing

To prevent the novel coronavirus from spreading, certain decisions have been taken in Rajasthan so far.

The state government has ordered closure of schools, cinema halls, and gymnasiums till March 30.

In a meeting headed by Rajasthan High Court (HC) Chief Justice Indrajit Mohanty, it had been decided that only essential matters will be heard at the Rajasthan HC and the sessions court.

The Rajasthan HC will hold hearings for one hour each, during morning and evening.

Single bench of Rajasthan HC will hold hearings for only 25 cases. Lawyers are required to get their essential matters listed a day in advance.

The sessions court will hold hearings regarding essential matters only, such as bail, remand and stay.
